Body/Chassis Unit

 Chassis. Reynard Racing designed backbone space frame chassis fully bracketed to accept mechanicals, steering arms and bonnet/radiator mounting frame and differential mounting bracketry. Chassis and components are shotblasted and powdercoated in a silver finish.

Bodywork: All D' Type body variants available including XKSS, authentically shaped and produced in composite QRP material, interior panels are in a smooth aluminium style GRP.

LR 'D' Type and XKSS Body/Chassis Plus


Our body/chassis plus units have been developed from expenences gained after supplying 300+ units over the last 15 years. Certain areas of the build process were noted to be time consuming first time around, to this end our body/chassis plus unit covers these areas, the parts supplied and fitted are specifically deigned for our cars and would be needed to be acquired during this part of the assembly. All that is needed, is to install engine, gearbox and axles and the mechanical build up of the project is complete.

Chassis: Reynard Racing designed backbone space frame chassis fully bracketed to accept mechanicals, steering arms and bonnet/radiator mounting frame. Corrected length rear lower wishbone and driveshafi (exchange) and differential mounting bracketry. Chassis and components are shotblasted and powdercoated in a silver finish.

Mechanical parts supplied and fitted.
Braking: Fabricated pedal box to include leg length adjustment, balance bar facility on braking, brake and clutch master cylinders (3), hard and flexible brake lines including brake light switch installed, period handbrake and cable.

Steering: Steering column, intermediate shaft, and steering rack complete with track rod ends.

Misc: Rollover bar - front anti -rollbar - fuel line

Parts supplied: 6 off Coil over shock units, period radiator and aluminium header tank.

Bodywork:
All D' Type body variants available including XKSS, authentically shaped and produced in composite GRP material, interior panels are in a smooth aluminium style GRP, engine bulkhead is clad using 18g aluminium.

The body is fitted to the chassis, bonnet, boot and door(s) are hinged and locks fitted, all screens and headlamp covers are fitted.
